Olney Rugby Club to celebrate 150th anniversary in 2027
Olney Rugby Club has a long history without parallel in the county, and which few clubs in the country can equal. The Cerise and French Grey colours of Olney Rugby Club are believed to be unique. They were believed to have been a gift from the Captain, or his father, on the formation of the Club. Except on two short periods, when football jerseys were almost impossible to obtain shortly after the 1914/18 War, the players have never worn any other colour. It has the advantage of never having to change to avoid a clash of colours.
We uphold the RFU Core Values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
We welcome all new team members and supporters to our club.
You would be joining one of the best clubs in the country as, in 2016, the RFU awarded us the “BEST” Mini and Junior’s club plus in 2020 the Club was also awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services, something we are extremely proud of.
